Indicted Police to Remain in Federal Custody

United States Magistrate Judge E. Robert Goebel issued an order on February 9, 2009 remanding Maxi Christopher Murray and Johnny Lee Travis to remain in the custody of the United States Marshall Service pending their trial dates. Murray and Travis were indicted by a Federal Grand Jury on February 4, 2009 on multiple charges including possession of a schedule III controlled substance without a valid prescription and threatening witnesses.

Both Murray and Travis are assistant police chiefs with the Glasgow city police department. The order concerning Murray is linked below. Travis’ order for remand is identical.
